June 11, 2008

MTV's Headbanger's Blog has posted the first segment of its three-part video interview with British heavy metal legends JUDAS PRIEST. Gathered at the bar of The Bourgeois Pig, a restaurant in New Yorks East Village, singer Rob Halford and guitarists Glenn Tipton and K.K. Downing discuss the life of French prophet Nostradamus, and how the events in his life acted as musical cues for the creation of the band's new heavy metal opera, "Nostradamus". They also talk about the largely animated video for "War", which will debut next week on "Headbanger's Ball". Lastly, the band addresses the inclusion of their music in the video game Guitar Hero and how that has helped spread its sounds to a new audience.
